Guild Master is a 3D roguelike dungeon crawler/turn based RPG. You control the wheelchair-bound master of a guild, as he put’s together parties, and send them on adventures. Then you must play as those parties, and explore randomly generated dungeons. You can recruit characters with randomly generated attributes to help you explore the dungeons, and have them fight enemies in a classic turn-based battle system.
This game was made as the main project for my Game Engine Implementation class. The biggest challenge that we had while making this game was that we over scoped on our idea. We only had about 6 weeks to finish the project, and this wasn’t quite enough time to implement everything that we wanted. This was also our first attempt to make a game in the Unreal Engine, which also slowed down the project. The game isn’t quite as polished as I would have liked, but it was a good learning experience to learn a new tool, and I’m still pretty happy with how it turned out.
